SMALL GROUPS, BIBLE STUDIES, AND YOUTH MINISTRIES
Using Promise Cookies in Your Small Groups
Community grows deeper when people have space for honest conversation and genuine connection. Bringing people together takes intentionality, and Promise Cookies give your group a unique, unexpected way to invite Scripture into the room. Each cookie creates a shared moment to pause, crack open God’s Word, and remind everyone around the table that they are seen, known, and loved.
-
Hand a cookie to everyone as they walk through. Before diving into your study curriculum, have everyone break open their cookie and take turns reading their promise. It naturally transitions a room from chatter into a faith-centered mindset.
-
Use the verses as discussion starters. Ask your group members: "How does the specific promise in your cookie apply to a challenge you are facing this exact week?" It lowers walls and gets people sharing real-life experiences without the pressure of a formal study guide.
-
At the end of the night, have members take their slip of paper home. They can slip it into their phone case, use it as a Bible bookmark, or keep it close as a physical reminder of God's truth throughout the week.
